Parent-Teen Mediation

Conflict is common in families with adolescents. This free service targets areas of conflict between parents and teens that have increased in frequency and intensity in the family home and provides up to 20 sessions of home-based mediation support.  With the help of a mediator, parents and teens may review family rules and discover solutions to repeat arguments about unmet expectations. Facilitators often work with teens at risk of leaving the home, or those who may already be residing outside the home. We work to help families restore safe communication and repair the relationship so that teens and parents remain connected.

Family members may request this service directly by contacting our Central Intake Line at (604) 987-1411 and asking for a referral for our PTM program.
