Marlae Vermeer, MSW, RCC

Marlae Vermeer is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (BCACC # 23248) and has been providing counselling and support to individuals and families for over fourteen (14) years. She is passionate about creating relationships built on acceptance, safety and trust, and considers it a privilege to come alongside those journeying toward growth, healing and rejuvenation. She believes in establishing a safe and empathetic space that allows for deeper exploration of the significant stories and events that can ultimately shape our lives. She draws from Narrative Therapy and Emotion-Focused Family Therapy to promote exploration of self and/or relationships. She is committed to supporting individuals, couples, and/or families to restore balance, strengthen connectedness to self and others, and promote resilience and emotional wellbeing. She is passionate about exploring ways to diminish hardship and increase the ability to cope with challenges that arise in order to experience increased joy and self-compassion.
