Supporting Children, Youth, and Families in British Columbia since 1990

Transitioning Youth to Adulthood (TYTA)

Transitioning Youth to Adulthood (TYTA) services are for North Shore youth aged 15 to 18 years receiving services from the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) and require help in moving towards independence. Youth with Continuing Custody status and those receiving service through Youth Agreements also qualify for this service.

Youth are matched with a Hollyburn Youth Transition Worker who supports youth with preparing for independent living by partnering on personalized goals, providing practical support, encouragement, and advocacy. Areas of support include housing, financial education, employment, life skills, and wellness.

Referrals to TYTA are made through a Social Worker at MCFD.
