The KEY (Knowledge and Education for Youth) Program provides a school and day program to North Shore youth aged 13 to 17 years who, because of behavioural difficulties, are not enrolled or able to attend a conventional school or day program. The program is committed to developing the necessary skills for students to integrate back into the mainstream school system, vocational or job training programs or employment and assists them in the transition to these settings.

The KEY Program (formerly Third Step School) has recently relocated to Mt. Seymour Parkway working collaboratively with Parkgate Community Services, North Vancouver School District, Pacific legal Education Society and the Ministry of Child and Family Devevlopment.

The Outstanding Supporter of Youth Award was presented to Third Step Alternate Program by the City of North Vancouver in appreciation and recognition of achievements and contributions to the North Shore Community.

Third Step finished the Multicultural Project and it is now on display at the City of North Vancouver. To watch their participatory video about the project click here.
