The 2008 Third Step Multicultural Project: Education for a New Generation

A large cultural painting and participatory video that encompasses teachings of belonging, mastery, independence, and generosity was produced by North Shore youth. This mentorship and life skills project was a positive experience for the youth, exposing them to traditional First Nations customs and culture. The project successfully brought together youth and community members. By using a participatory video method, these youths’ views about their community and their cultural experience are documented for others to see.
